CANCELLATION policy is one hour prior to training appointment otherwise travel fee will apply.

  • No refunds will be given for registration made less than 7 days before in-person course date.
  • No refunds will be given if any of the on-line course material has been started or completed (as reflected on the American Red Cross learning center)
  • No Refunds will be given once a class has been rescheduled.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellation request or no show on the original in-person course date.

**exception may be given for No Show to reschedule if the on-line course was already completed, new class attendance must be within 30days of the original date of class.

A refund will be given if the request is received at least 2 business days prior to the in-person class, your registration was more than 7 days before the course date and no on-line learning material was started/completed.

San Diego BLS Course Content Overview

  • American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • The American Heart Association Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Use of an AED
  • 1-Rescuer BLS and AED for adult, child, and infant
  • 2-Rescuer BLS and AED for adult, child, and infant
  • Differences between adult, child and infant rescue techniques
  • Bag-mask techniques for adult, child, and infant
  • Rescue breathing for adult, child, and infant
  • BLS with an advanced airway
  • Mouth to mouth for adult, child, and infant
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) adult, child and infant

About Course Options

We have two BLS course options at our San Diego (Mission Valley & El Cajon )   location:

Option 1: BLS Provider Initial / Renewal Course

  • Traditional Instructor-led classroom course
  • Average 3.5 Hours, Offered daily Monday through Saturday
  • CEUs available for most healthcare professions

Option 2: BLS Online Fast-Track

  • Online and in-person hybrid for new or renewing students
  • Includes online access (2 hrs) and instructor-led skills testing (45 mins)
  • Online access provided in confirmation email
  • Refunds not available for Fast-Track Courses
